I grew up in Boston watching Gene Kelly movies and decided early that I’d spend my life moving. That took me to Los Angeles, and then most of the way around the world.
For two decades I’ve performed at the highest level: the Oscars, Grammys, Emmys, VMAs and AMAs; La La Land, Babylon and Hairspray; Glee, Grease: Live!, Dancing with the Stars and SNL. On screen, I’ve acted in The Shards, Unprisoned, The Mindy Project and GameShakers. On tour with Justin Bieber, at the Winter Olympics with Ricky Martin, on stage with everyone from Stevie Wonder to Ariana Grande. Thousands of hours, in front of millions of people, with no room to be off.
Somewhere in there, I got just as interested in what happens off the stage. In my off time, learning to renew and recharge, I began surfing. I love being outdoors, hiking and cycling, and I’ve been vegan for over a decade. I’ve trained in Budokon, Hatha yoga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, taught on four continents, and coached actors and performers through movement.
All of it became Lykos, the brand and practice I founded on one idea: movement is medicine. Dance, martial arts, yoga, fitness and breath, treated as one thing instead of five.
I’m still an actor, still a dancer, still an artist. I’m just more interested than ever in using what I’ve learned to help others on their journey.
